Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in an acute medical unit, involving assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and document individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication across care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, home care, and medication use.
- Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities, supporting professional development.
- Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural backgrounds.
- Supports a safe environment and adheres to safety-sensitive protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduated with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Valid RN license; no prior experience required, but two years of experience is preferred for certain roles.
- ACLS certification is preferred (support available post-hire).
