Acute Medicine Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient – Days

Role Overview

This position involves providing direct patient care in an acute medical setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. It emphasizes patient and family-centered care, health education, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The role requires developing and documenting personalized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, and assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.

Ideal candidates will hold an RN license with an ADN, BSN, or MSN, and may have minimal or no prior experience. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and at least two years of experience. Certification in ACLS is preferred, with support available post-hire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and educate patients and families on managing health conditions and post-treatment needs.
  • Participate in safety, quality initiatives, and professional development activities.
  • Develop, implement, and communicate individualized care plans, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Assess patient needs holistically, considering emotional, spiritual, and cultural factors.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain alertness as this role is safety-sensitive.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • RN licensure required; no prior experience necessary, though two years of experience is preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
