Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a 38-bed acute care unit, focusing on patients with complex medical conditions such as blood disorders, endocrine issues, heart and renal failure, and infectious diseases. The nurse will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include educating patients and families, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring effective communication across care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care and education on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participate in safety and quality improvement activities and professional development.
- Develop and document care plans collaboratively, considering patient preferences and cultural needs.
- Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
- Support a safe environment, adhering to standards of nursing practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Required: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree and RN license.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Additional Information:
- Part-time role, 24 hours/week, with 12-hour shifts.
