Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in an acute care setting, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions within established standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Collaborates with an interprofessional team, including case managers, social workers, and specialty staff, to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities:
Develops and documents individualized care plans with clear goals.
Ensures effective communication across the care team and continuum.
Assesses physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to involvement.
Participates in activities supporting patient safety, quality improvement, and professional development.
Supports a healing environment through education and advocacy.
Qualifications and Skills:
Must have RN licensure and a nursing diploma or associate’s degree; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Open to candidates with no prior experience; less than 2 years of experience is preferred for higher education levels.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
