Acute Medicine Registered Nurse (6200) PRN

Role Overview


Provides direct patient care in a 25-bed Acute Care Medicine unit, managing patients with diverse clinical issues such as blood dyscrasias, endocrine disorders, heart and renal failure, and infectious diseases. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management and post-treatment needs. Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care transitions. Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations. Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engages in professional development. This safety-sensitive position requires alertness and adherence to safety protocols.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree in Nursing
  • Licensure: RN license
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and less than 2 years of experience
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
