Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in an acute care setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and ensures safety and quality compliance. Develops and documents individualized care plans, collaborates with an interprofessional team, and communicates effectively across care transitions. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations. Maintains safety awareness as a safety-sensitive position.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational requirements include a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Licensure as an RN is mandatory; no prior experience required, but two years of experience and supervisory experience are preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills are essential.
Key Duties:
- Assess and evaluate patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, and document progress.
- Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, medication, and disease management.
- Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including case managers, social workers, and physicians, to deliver comprehensive care.
