Acute Medicine Nurse – Full Time Days

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in an acute care setting, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions within established standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and promoting safety and quality compliance. It requires developing and documenting individualized care plans, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and assessing physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care and educate patients and families on post-treatment needs.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Create, implement, and communicate personalized care plans with clear goals.
  • Assess patient needs holistically, considering preferences and barriers to care involvement.
  • Maintain safety protocols as this is a safety-sensitive position.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educational requirement: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Licensure: Valid RN license.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; two years of experience preferred.
  • Skills: Critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and cultural competence.
