Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in an acute care setting within a 38-bed unit, managing a diverse range of clinical issues such as blood dyscrasias, endocrine disorders, heart and renal failure, and infectious diseases.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to nursing standards.
- Promote patient and family-centered care through education on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development.
- Develop and document individualized care plans collaboratively with the interprofessional team, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
- Evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and emotional factors.
- Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Licensure: Valid RN license.
- Experience: No experience required; less than 2 years preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
