Assistant Nurse Manager – Emergency Room

Role Overview: This leadership position entails overseeing patient care, personnel management, equipment maintenance, and statistical tracking in an emergency department setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing staff through hiring, training, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and conducting professional development.
  • Participating in staffing, revenue, and expense planning, ensuring departmental goals are met.
  • Providing patient care aligned with age and developmental needs, documenting interventions, and developing collaborative care plans.
  • Monitoring staff productivity, managing scheduling, payroll, and staff communications, and addressing disciplinary actions.
  • Conducting performance reviews and supporting staff growth and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree and RN licensure.
  • Experience: 2-5 years, with preferred qualifications of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, 5-10 years of experience, and supervisor experience.
  • Preferred: Emergency room or critical care experience, and supervisory experience of less than 2 years.
