Clinical Nurse – Orthopedic Surgery

Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in an orthopedic setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  • Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring clear communication across care transitions.
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and emotional factors.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, demonstrating alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Experience is not mandatory; however, ≥2 years of experience is preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
Additional Details: The role involves working in a high-acuity orthopedic unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1, supporting diverse orthopedic conditions including joint replacements, spine surgeries, trauma, and sports medicine.
