Role Overview
The OR Staff Nurse provides direct patient care in an outpatient surgery setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within established nursing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participate in activities enhancing patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
- Develop, implement, and document personalized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
- Use critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific factors.
- Maintain a safety-sensitive approach, working in a constant alert state to ensure safety.
Qualifications & Skills
- Educational requirement: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Licensure: Valid RN license.
- Experience: No experience required; 2 years of experience preferred.
