Role: Provides nursing care under supervision, including data collection, patient monitoring, and family instruction. Performs licensed patient care functions and documents patient responses accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care based on individualized plans, addressing physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and educational needs.
- Monitor and document vital signs, drains, dressings, lab results, and patient responses.
- Notify healthcare team of patient status changes and activities performed.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of medical records.
- Administer and document medications per policy.
- Use specialized equipment for data collection and orient patients to routines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Completion of an accredited LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing.
- At least one year of LPN experience or equivalent training (e.g., residency programs or transition programs).
- Current LPN license recognized by the NCSBN Compact or state licensing authority.
Additional Info: No management responsibilities; reports to supervisor. Work shift is night. Location is Blount Memorial Hospital. Knowledge and skills requirements are minimal.
