Role Overview:
Seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Ortho Trauma to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic hospital environment. Responsible for assessing patient conditions, performing procedures, administering medications, and documenting care accurately. Acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring compassionate support and education about medical conditions, treatments, and medications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient status during admission and shifts, reporting any changes.
- Perform medical procedures, monitor responses, and document care thoroughly.
- Administer prescribed medications and respond to therapeutic or adverse effects.
- Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues.
- Educate patients and families to ensure understanding of care plans and treatments.
Qualifications & Skills:
- BSN or enrollment in a BSN program with a plan to obtain within 5 years; 10+ years of experience exempted.
- Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; BLS certification.
- Preferred: Master’s in Nursing and national certification in a specialty area.
- Minimum of one year nursing experience.
