Position Overview:
A Mammography Technologist I works under the guidance of a radiologist to perform mammography exams following MQSA, state regulations, and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain patient history, confirm clinical data, and produce high-quality images with minimal radiation dose.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality while effectively communicating with patients and healthcare team members.
- Identify and report equipment issues promptly and maintain continuing education documentation.
- Participate in training new mammographers and cover other locations when needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited radiography program.
- Licensed in Radiography for over a year and passed ARRT Mammography exam.
- Must hold a mammography license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Preferred: BLS certification, knowledge of MQSA/ACR regulations, PACS, and healthcare delivery.
