Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient addiction treatment team in Taos, NM.

  • Provide patient assessments, diagnosis, and management of substance use disorders, including opioid and alcohol use disorder.
  • Prescribe and monitor Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) medications, ensuring safety and adherence.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Educate patients on their condition, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including handling controlled substances.
  • Provide crisis intervention and participate in quality improvement efforts.

    Qualifications include a master’s or doctoral degree, active licensure in NM, and at least 1 year of clinical experience, with some in addiction medicine preferred. Strong assessment, communication, and team skills are essential. Training in addiction medicine is provided; no prior experience required.
