Position Overview:
The X-Ray Tech performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning. Responsibilities include ensuring image quality, proper identification, patient communication, and adherence to safety standards to minimize radiation exposure. The role involves providing patient care, creating a calm environment, and supporting team coverage when needed. Additionally, the technician mentors new staff and ensures compliance with regulatory and ethical standards, including HIPAA and ARRT guidelines. The position requires technical accuracy, effective communication with radiologists and caregivers, and maintaining high-quality service.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates degree or BS in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
- ARRT certification
- At least 1 year of radiologic technologist experience
