Role Overview:
This position performs diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams to identify abnormalities, supporting patient diagnosis under physician supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute ultrasound protocols with technical proficiency.
- Schedule, prepare, and educate patients for exams, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Coordinate with medical staff and communicate patient needs throughout procedures.
- Document results accurately, apply appropriate charge codes, and maintain equipment and work area.
- Mentor team members and students, support quality improvement initiatives, and participate in ongoing education.
Qualifications & Skills:
- ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency in sonography, digital tools, clinical care, and patient instruction.
- Strong time management, risk management, and healthcare communication skills.
