Vascular Surgery PCU – Clinical RN (Day Shift) → Vascular Surgery RN (Day Shift)

Role Overview:

Provides comprehensive pre/post-operative nursing care for patients with peripheral vascular disease, including procedures such as aneurysm repairs, carotid interventions, dialysis access, thrombolysis, and bypass surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and post-treatment care.
  • Promote patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop individualized care plans aligned with nursing standards and communicate across care continuum.
  • Utilize critical thinking to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
  • Participate in professional development and ensure safe practice in a safety-sensitive position.
  • Qualifications & Skills:

    • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
    • Licenses: RN license required.
    • Experience: No experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles.
    • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, arterial line monitoring, pacer wires certification desired.
