Role: The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provides comprehensive obstetric patient care, including assessing maternal and fetal health, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure safe labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
Responsibilities: Communicate procedures, administer medications, prepare equipment, assist during deliveries and cesarean sections, provide postpartum education, respond to obstetric emergencies, document care, interpret fetal monitoring, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires at least one year of recent L&D experience, valid RN license, current BLS and NRP certifications, with preferred certifications such as Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, and STABLE. Must demonstrate critical thinking, excellent communication, physical stamina, technical proficiency, and ability to work under pressure.
