Responsibilities
MedSurg RNs provide bedside care for diverse patients, conducting individualized assessments to develop personalized care plans. They prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments. Key duties include:
- Preparing, administering, and documenting prescribed medications
- Responding to adverse symptoms with appropriate interventions
- Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs as needed
