Responsibilities
MedSurg RNs provide bedside care for diverse patients, conducting individualized assessments to develop tailored care plans. They prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments. Key duties include:
- Preparing, administering, and documenting prescribed medications
- Responding to adverse symptoms with appropriate actions
- Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and initiating IVs as needed
Qualifications & Skills
Strong clinical skills in patient assessment and medication management, proficiency in wound care and IV insertion, and the ability to collaborate with healthcare teams are essential for success in this role.
