Job Summary
Performs radiation therapy procedures and treatments according to oncology standards to support diagnosis and patient care. Responsible for executing treatment plans, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and cleanliness of work areas. Participates in performance improvement activities to uphold care quality.
Responsibilities
- Applies knowledge of radiation oncology principles to select appropriate techniques and positioning for optimal outcomes.
- Administers prescribed treatment plans accurately.
- Completes documentation to comply with policies and procedures.
- Maintains equipment and treatment areas in a safe, clean condition.
- Engages in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
- Achieves assigned goals effectively.
Qualifications & Skills
- Recent experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Therapy or a new graduate awaiting registry, with proof required within 60 days.
- Must possess a State License if mandated by local regulations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Basic computer literacy skills required; advanced skills preferred.
