Summary:
Provides surgical assistance across all age groups, supporting patient care and operating room procedures.
Responsibilities include coordinating treatments, connecting patients to equipment, practicing aseptic techniques, verifying surgical sites, managing supplies, and documenting specimens.
Performs wound care, dressing changes, emergency procedures, and supports patient admission/discharge.
Ensures safety protocols, participates in quality control, and acts as a preceptor for students.
Additional duties involve specimen collection, patient transport, and post-mortem care.
Requires current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent, with graduation from a specialty training program.
The role involves full-time hours, rotating shifts, on-call duties, and adherence to policies and standards of care.
