Role Overview: This position involves assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring aseptic techniques, and supporting patient care across all ages.
Key Responsibilities: Preparing for surgeries, verifying surgical sites, managing supplies and specimens, maintaining sterile environments, and participating in safety protocols. Additional duties include patient assistance, wound assessment, dressing changes, specimen collection, and supporting on-call rotations. Acts as a preceptor for students and adheres to organizational policies and standards of care.
Qualifications & Skills: Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or eligible under applicable laws. Requires graduation from a specialty training program. Ability to perform sterile techniques, work collaboratively, and respond effectively in emergencies.
