Surgical Technologist – Day/Evening Shift

Role Summary: The Surgical Technologist assists surgeons during procedures, ensuring patient safety and maintaining sterile techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports surgical team by preparing and setting up instruments, gowns, and drapes.
  • Practices aseptic techniques and verifies surgical site before incision.
  • Maintains accurate supply and specimen documentation.
  • Assists with wound care, dressing changes, and specimen handling.
  • Participates in safety protocols, emergency procedures, and on-call rotations.
  • Acts as a preceptor for students and adheres to hospital policies and standards.
  • Performs quality control and additional duties like patient transport and post-mortem care.

Qualifications & Skills: Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or eligible per state law; completion of a specialty training program.
