Surgical Technologist (Outpatient)
Prepare and maintain operating rooms for same-day surgical procedures in an outpatient setting. Ensure proper sterilization of instruments, manage surgical supplies, and set up and organize equipment to support safe, efficient procedures. Assist surgeons throughout operations by anticipating needs, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting patient care.
Key Duties
- Set up operating rooms and maintain a sterile, safe environment
- Verify sterilization and proper function of instruments and supplies
- Maintain instrument/supply organization and assist during procedures
- Collaborate with RNs, anesthesia staff, and providers to support patient-centered care
Qualifications / Skills
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterilization, and sterile technique
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment
- Clear communication and teamwork skills with multidisciplinary care teams
- Commitment to patient safety, professionalism, and compassionate care
