Key duties
- Prepare and set up instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgery
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure a safe operative environment
- Assist surgeons and nurses intraoperatively while following established protocols
- Perform accurate surgical counts and coordinate resolution of count discrepancies
- Handle and manage specimens according to infection prevention and safety standards
- Adhere to strict infection control, safety, and documentation requirements
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team with a focus on respect and dignity for all patients
