Job Summary
The Surgical Tech Student Intern is a temporary role designed for students to gain hands-on experience in surgical areas.
They work alongside a Certified Surgical Tech and may assist in patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician.
Key Duties
- Assist in surgical procedures and patient care activities
- Perform direct and indirect patient support tasks
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality care
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Enrolled in an accredited Surgical Tech program
- Experience: None required
Skills & Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required within 90 days of start
