Job Summary
Under supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician, performs specialized technical duties in surgical or procedural settings. This role involves assisting the surgical team with equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe environment, proper functioning of equipment, and availability of necessary tools.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program
Experience:
- Preferred: One year of experience as a Surgical Technician
Certification/Licensure:
- Surgical Technician Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or by the National Center for Competency Testing or through the U.S. Military/Public Health Service (only one required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of start)
