Job Summary
Performs specialized technical duties in surgical or procedural settings under supervision, assisting the surgical team with equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe operating room environment. Ensures availability and proper functioning of necessary equipment.
Qualifications
- Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program
- Preferred: One year of experience as a Surgical Tech
- Must hold one of the following:
- Surgical Technician Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
- Surgical Technician Certification by the National Center for Competency Testing
- United States Military or U.S. Public Health Service Surgical Technology Program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within ninety days of hire
