Role Overview: Under supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician, performs specialized technical duties in surgical or procedural settings. Assists the surgical team by operating equipment and instrumentation to maintain a safe operating environment, ensuring availability and proper functioning of necessary equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support surgical procedures through equipment setup and maintenance
- Ensure sterilization and readiness of surgical tools and supplies
- Maintain a sterile environment and assist during surgeries or procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: High School Diploma required; completion of accredited Surgical Technician program
- Experience: At least 1 year of surgical technology experience; preferred surgical tech experience
- Certifications & Licenses: Surgical Technician Certification by recognized boards or military/public health programs, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least one certification required within 90 days of hire
Additional Requirements: Must obtain required certifications/licenses within ninety days of employment.
