Role Overview: Performs specialized technical duties in surgical or procedural settings under supervision. Assists the surgical team by managing equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe operating environment and proper functioning of all tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the surgical team with equipment setup and maintenance.
- Ensure availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments.
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program.
- Required certifications include Surgical Technician Certification by recognized boards, Basic Life Support (BLS), or relevant military/public health programs (must obtain within 90 days).
- Experience as a Surgical Tech preferred, with at least one year of related experience.
- Certifications such as the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or the National Center for Competency Testing are required.
Additional Requirements:
- Must possess valid licensures and certifications as specified.
- Experience in surgical tech roles is preferred.
