Role Overview: Performs specialized technical duties in surgical or procedural environments under supervision, assisting the surgical team with equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe and efficient operating room environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with equipment setup and maintenance to ensure proper functioning.
- Support surgical team during procedures, handling instruments and supplies.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma required; accredited surgical technician program preferred.
- Experience: at least 1 year as a surgical tech preferred.
- Certifications: Surgical Technician certification by recognized boards or military/public health programs, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required within ninety days of hire.
- Required certifications include: Surgical Technician Certification by The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, or certification by The National Center for Competency Testing, or U.S. Military/Public Health Service programs.
