Role Overview: Performs specialized technical duties in surgical or procedural settings under supervision, assisting the surgical team with equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe and well-equipped operating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining the operating room environment.
- Ensure all equipment and instrumentation are available, functioning properly, and ready for use.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required); N/A for preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program (required).
- 1+ year of surgical tech experience (preferred); at least 1 year required.
- Certification as a Surgical Technician by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or the National Center for Competency Testing (required); or US Military/Public Health Service Surgical Technology Program (required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
Additional Requirements:
- Valid surgical technician certification (required).
- Must obtain certification within 90 days of hire if not already certified.
