Registered Nurse – Surgical Stepdown
Provide complex post-surgical care in a surgical stepdown setting. Monitor vital signs and telemetry, administer medications, and manage wounds and drains while maintaining patient safety and high-quality outcomes.
- Assess patients and closely monitor clinical status, including vital signs and telemetry
- Administer medications and perform post-surgical nursing interventions
- Manage wound care and drains; support infection prevention and recovery
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to create and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families to promote understanding and safe self-care
- Support safe discharge planning and continuity of care
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN licensure
- Strong clinical judgment for post-acute, post-surgical care
- Proficiency with medication administration, wound/drain management, and telemetry monitoring
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient/family education skills
