Supervisor – Interventional Radiology

Role Overview: Responsible for supervising daily operations within interventional procedural suites, including radiology, neurointerventional, and vascular services. Balances clinical duties with operational leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Collaborates with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize scheduling, throughput, and patient outcomes while supporting program development, accreditation, and performance improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and coordinates workflow, staffing, and case readiness in procedural suites.
  • Performs clinical duties as a working supervisor, managing patient care and staff allocation.
  • Partners with providers to manage schedules, case prioritization, and resource utilization.
  • Leads staff orientation, training, and competency validation, fostering team growth.
  • Ensures compliance with safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  • Monitors quality, safety, and performance metrics to drive improvements.
  • Oversees equipment, supplies, and technology needs, supporting their effective use.
  • Handles administrative tasks, including hiring, performance appraisal, and conflict resolution.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Radiography (ARRT) or RCIS certification upon hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience or training.
  • Effective communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with attention to safety and regulatory compliance.
