Role Overview:
Responsible for managing store operations, staff, and processes to ensure efficient daily functions, including staffing, training, inventory, merchandising, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, select, train, evaluate, and retain qualified employees, ensuring proper staffing and adherence to labor laws.
- Provide performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and address employee development or disciplinary actions.
- Make recommendations on employee pay and advancement.
- Oversee store opening and closing procedures, including personal involvement as needed.
- Analyze sales, profitability, and expense data to identify trends and control costs.
- Manage inventory levels through ordering, cycle counts, and stock presentation according to company standards.
- Ensure merchandise presentation, signage, and pricing meet guidelines.
- Maintain store security, cash handling accuracy, and safety policies.
- Deliver excellent customer service, maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, complete all documentation, and support store safety and operational standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math.
- Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with recruiting, training, and legal compliance.
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Bilingual skills may be preferred in some locations.
Experience & Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Management experience in retail is advantageous.
Physical & Working Conditions:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
- Use of equipment such as scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
- Fast-paced environment with exposure to weather conditions and moderate noise.
