Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)
Provide high-quality nursing care for patients who need close monitoring and frequent assessment but are not stable enough for transfer to a general medical-surgical unit. Support improved patient outcomes through clinical excellence, compassionate care, and effective coordination with the care team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor patient condition and perform frequent assessments.
- Deliver appropriate stepdown-level nursing interventions and management of care.
- Recognize changes in patient status and escalate concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support safe, effective care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active RN licensure.
- Proficiency in stepdown/acute monitoring and assessment.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and situational awareness.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
