Registered Nurse – Neuro Step Down
Provide specialized, high-acuity step-down care to adult patients with complex neurological conditions.
Key duties
- Conduct frequent, detailed neurological assessments and monitor patient status.
- Manage telemetry and IV therapies; administer medications as ordered.
- Respond promptly to acute changes in condition and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Deliver care using evidence-based practices within an interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and families to support understanding and recovery.
- Maintain compassionate, safe, and standards-driven care.
Qualifications & skills
- Active RN licensure.
- Strong neuro assessment skills and ability to interpret patient changes.
- Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and IV therapy management.
- Medication administration skills and readiness for rapid clinical response.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and patient/family education abilities.
