The staff physician role focuses on establishing a comprehensive, community-based, family-centered primary care program aimed at improving access and health outcomes through preventive care, health education, and chronic disease management.
Reporting to the Director of Family Medicine with oversight from the CMO, the physician may supervise support staff indirectly and precept students or mid-level providers. Performance evaluation involves ongoing feedback on productivity, clinical skills, and professionalism.
Requirements include graduation from an accredited medical school, completion of a family medicine residency, active South Carolina medical licensure, and board certification or eligibility. Candidates should possess strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills, along with physical ability to perform duties in a moderate noise environment with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Minimal travel is required.
