Speech Therapist

The Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist provides evaluation, treatment, and education to residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.

  • Conducts assessments, diagnoses, and develops individualized treatment plans.
  • Performs bedside swallowing evaluations, dietary recommendations, and modifies therapy based on progress.
  • Documents evaluations and progress notes according to policies.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Educates residents, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies.
  • Participates in care planning and supervises therapy assistants and students.
  • Maintains compliance with regulatory standards and promotes a positive care environment.

  • Requirements include a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, valid licensure in Oregon, and preferred CCC-SLP certification. Prior experience in geriatrics or skilled nursing is preferred. Position is 10 hours/week, including weekends.
