Speech Pathologist (SLP) – PRN Days

Role Overview: A PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) providing acute care coverage, focusing on communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorder assessments and treatments. The role involves evaluating patients, developing and implementing personalized care plans, and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and revise treatment plans, selecting appropriate therapy activities and providing patient and family education.
  • Conduct patient assessments, establishing and evaluating treatment goals, plans, and discharge strategies.
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge instructions in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, ethical practices, infection control, and confidentiality.
  • Engage in team communication, participate in staff meetings, and contribute to process improvements.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by applying AIDET principles, fostering teamwork, and maintaining respectful interactions.
  • Participate in professional development, mandatory training, and maintain licensure and certifications.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and BLS certification.
  • Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
