Speech Pathologist Role Overview


Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating, assessing, developing, and implementing personalized speech and language treatment plans for patients with communication challenges.
  • Identifying issues and adjusting therapy strategies as needed.
  • Tracking and documenting patient progress and responses to treatment.
  • Celebrating patient successes and providing ongoing support.

  • Qualifications and Skills:

  • Current licensure or certification as mandated by state regulations.
  • Completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • CPR certification, obtained within 30 days if not already held.
  • Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience acceptable.

  • Empathy, strong communication skills, and dedication to patient care.
  • Ability to modify treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Comfort with documentation and progress tracking.
