Role Overview:
The technologist performs and assists with Cardiac and Vascular Radiographic examinations, including interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab using advanced equipment. They operate imaging systems to produce digital images, position and instruct patients, and support physicians during specialized procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate diagnostic imaging equipment for cardiovascular studies, such as Angio cardiograms and catheterizations.
Assist physicians with complex procedures, including contrast injections and fluoroscopy.
Provide patient education, monitor vital signs, and observe patient responses during procedures.
Ensure environmental safety and maintain accurate documentation according to standards.
Support other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications & Skills:
RT license in the practicing state; CPR/BLS certification required.
Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology, ARRT certification, and experience in Cath Lab or Special Procedures.
Proficiency with sophisticated imaging equipment and ability to follow protocols and safety standards.Key Attributes:
