Role Overview:
Seeking a Full-time Sonographer with weekend option at a hospital’s Radiology department. The position involves performing ultrasound imaging including abdominal, small parts, obstetrical, and vascular studies for adult and pediatric patients to assist in diagnosis and treatment. The sonographer ensures equipment readiness, conducts independent examinations, and documents procedures accurately. May perform on-call, portable, and outpatient studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper equipment function.
- Perform and document ultrasound procedures accurately.
- Operate independently, including on-call and portable exams.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Associate degree or trade school equivalent.
- Licenses: RDMS or equivalent required; RDCS or similar certification preferred.
- Experience: No experience required; 2+ years preferred.
- Certifications: CPR, RDCS or equivalent advantageous.
Additional Details:
- Requires knowledge of ultrasound equipment and procedures.
- Participate in holiday rotations and on-call duties.
