Role: Sleep Technologist
Summary: Responsible for conducting sleep studies, providing patient education, and ensuring quality service in the Sleep Center.
Key Duties: Review patient histories, educate patients on procedures, perform sleep tests, maintain room cleanliness, and assist with scoring sleep studies according to AASM standards.
Qualifications: Requires an Associate’s degree in Polysomnography Technology or Respiratory Therapy, current CPR/BLS certification, and appropriate NYS authorization. Certification as a Polysomnographic Technologist or Respiratory Therapist is necessary, with specific credentialing timelines.
Skills: Strong patient care, attention to detail in documentation, maintenance of equipment, and adherence to safety protocols.
Physical Requirements: Medium work involving lifting, walking, and standing.
Pay Range: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour.
