The Sleep Respiratory Therapist at Dayton Children’s South Campus supports the Sleep Clinic and Diagnostic Labs in patient education, PAP compliance monitoring, and verification of PAP settings. They assist with intake, family education, and support sleep studies such as PAP naps, desensitization MSLTs, and Actigraphy.
As a discharge planner, they assess and manage home respiratory care, coordinate resources, and facilitate discharge planning for treatments like oxygen and PAP devices. They collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth transitions and serve as an advocate for patients and families, maintaining community and provider relationships.
Schedule: Full-time, 4 days/week, 8-hour days (Monday-Friday). Requirements include an Associate’s Degree, 2-3 years pediatric respiratory care experience, RCP and BLS licensure, and strong communication skills. Preferred qualifications are a Bachelor’s Degree, 1 year sleep lab experience, SDS or RPSGT certification, and expertise in sleep-related breathing disorders.
