Role Overview: This position involves performing patient treatments utilizing ionizing radiation under the supervision of Radiation Oncologists. The role requires preparing patients and charts prior to procedures, delivering accurate treatments, and coordinating treatment schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and charts before treatment sessions.
- Deliver precise and consistent radiation treatments.
- Complete treatment processes and manage patient scheduling.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree in Radiation Therapy preferred.
- Board Certified by ARRT as RT(T).
- 2 or more years of relevant experience; supervisory experience is a plus.
- Licenses & Certifications: R.T.(T).
Key Duties: Operate advanced radiation therapy equipment such as TrueBeam, Edge, ViewRay, Gamma Knife, and Hyperthermia systems, utilizing advanced techniques like SBRT, SRS, Adaptive, OSMS, Identify, and Hypersite.
Additional Information: The role offers a day shift schedule with no weekends unless on paid call, with compensation for being on call. The department supports various therapeutic equipment and educational programs, emphasizing the use of cutting-edge technology to treat cancer patients effectively.
