Role Overview: The Senior Associate in International Tax supports multinational clients by advising on business decisions, tax planning, and structuring transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Guide clients on location choices, entity types, supply chain optimization, and capital mobilization, considering tax risks and cash flow.
- Develop and review complex tax models related to multinational operations, effective tax rates, and cash taxes.
- Assist with global tax planning, analyzing short- and long-term implications aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate on structuring mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and IPOs, including drafting tax opinions and models.
- Support tax provision preparation, compliance review, and coordinate with audit teams on tax reporting.
- Advise on international tax treaty opportunities for cross-border investments and trading activities.
- Provide services to alternative investment firms throughout the investment lifecycle, aiding asset managers and portfolio companies globally.
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least three years of experience in international, M&A, or federal tax planning.
- Bachelor’s degree; Master’s in Taxation, JD, or LLM preferred.
- Knowledge of international and domestic tax laws, strong research, modeling, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements, foster client relationships, and lead or mentor team members.
- Proven professionalism, client service orientation, and capacity to expand service offerings globally.
