Role Overview: This position involves unloading products from trucks, breaking down pallets, and organizing items for storage or shipment. The role includes supporting warehouse tasks such as sanitation, inventory control, and assisting with product selection and order fulfillment. Responsibilities may also include fueling, washing, or cleaning semi-trucks/trailers, inspecting products for damage, and ensuring accurate stock receipt and order assembly.
Key Duties:
- Unload trucks, break down pallets, and organize products onto warehouse racks or pallets.
- Handle various product types, including dry goods, frozen foods, produce, and meats, as specified on orders.
- Assist with warehouse sanitation, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Operate industrial equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Inspect products for damage, verify quantities, and label pallets for shipping.
- Lift weights up to 75 lbs. and work in multi-temperature areas, including freezers and coolers.
- Support product rotation, move products to dock areas, and perform additional assigned duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Warehouse experience and equipment operation skills preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and operating machinery.
- Strong communication skills, and ability to follow instructions independently.
- Commitment to safety policies, punctuality, and adaptability to changing work requirements.
Physical & Other Requirements: Must frequently walk, stand, and handle objects, with the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. in a warehouse environment. Ability to work in various temperatures, including freezers and coolers, and to perform in a noisy setting. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
